Finding a Location
The search by Address is selected as default option.
Alternatively, you may search a location by Intersection through the drop down list.
If only one address is found, the address will be displayed on the Search window
and the map will automatically zoom in to that address and highlight it, as shown in image below.
If more than ten records are found, you have the option to adjust your query to narrow the results
or to go ahead and display ten records at a time. Click on the arrows to see the next ten addresses.
Tips on Searching by Address
When searching for a parcel by address, you must supply an address number. You cannot simply type a street name.
When searching for an address that includes 1/2, 1/4, etc. as part of the address number, do not include it in your search. That is, to search for the address "435 1/2 Main," type in your search as: "435 Main".
Similarly, when searching for an address that includes a unit number, such as 10003 Sepulveda #9, do not include the unit number in your search. Type in your search as, "10003 Sepul".
As a general rule, typing less is more. Typing 4 or 5 characters is more likely to find a record than typing the whole character string. This is because you may misspell it.
For directions, use N for North, S for South, E for East, or W for west. Periods are not required but may be used. You may also spell out North, South, East, or West. Other abbreviations of directions such as SO. for South or NO. for North will not get any hits, avoid using them.
